02 October 2006 14:40math writes, whoa, that looks awesome. the top picture on the flyer is otherworldly! a couple months ago Steven told me he had a surprise for me, and we ended up trekking through this weird industrial part of Manhattan by the Hudson River to arrive at a gallery showing photos of and by Mapplethorpe and Warhol. it was pretty typical fare, but it was free [in fact nobody even reacted to our presence], plus they were giving away this highly scanable flyer:

There's a Mapplethorpe exhibition at the moment here in London, and I'm hoping to visit it this weekend. I know they are mostly photos of him with Patty, so perhaps the original of this one will be there.
