08 September 2006 20:30math writes, oh ok. well wow, how very flattering. here's the brief story: my laptop screen did indeed fry itself [thus, the start of my absence]. i was away from my computer about about 3 weeks, and yeah, i do confess that since getting my computer back [a couple months ago, almost, by this point], i haven't ventured back to moz-solo. why? a few reasons. one, i work from my computer and moz-solo was pretty much the world's most enormous time-waster. there are a lot of places i haven't revisisted, or have only briefly revisited, since getting my laptop back. being away from all the usual internet distractions let me work much more efficiently once i got my computer back. also, while the people at moz-solo are beautiful people, i sort-of felt like the forum had run through most of the interesting topics. to be entirely honest, i was kinda gonna puke if someone started _yet another_ 'What is everybody's favorite Morrissey lyric?' thread. the conversation wasn't exactly cumulative. i'm not a search nazi or anything; no demands to search before you fucking post!!!! etc; but i did feel like the same few topics were being repeated ad nauseum. that said, Musings, you've flattered/persuaded me enough to pop over and say hey, have a look around. thanks for stopping by my blog! as you might guess, it's a greater interest of mine than moz-solo, so i hope you'll pop back from time to time. much luv, math+ |
