hey.. nice suprise to see your comment on my blog. yeah.. you got it right. when it comes to a straight girl and her boyfriend people refer to him as that. when it comes to me and my girlfriend they refer to her as my 'friend'. but then some people at my work whisper the word gay when they say it. I think it's all a 'I know you're gay...and therefore I should be seen as accepting... but I'm not sure what is ok to say, so I'll go for "friend"'. It ends up making me feel like my relationship isn't particularly respected or thought of as meaningful or valid. oh well!

like the photos :)

^strikes me as totally absurd. i thought you were being literal when you said people couldn't get their vocal chords around 'girlfriend', like it was hard to pronounce.

where do you work/live? i am in san francisco right now but i live in nyc, so, you know... 'is different'...
